Mr. Baker is a principal of Manchester Companies, Inc. He is responsible for overseeing the practice management aspects of the corporate renewal and management advisory practices, and leading corporate renewal and management advisory projects.
Prior to joining Manchester, Mr. Baker was a partner in MHW Capital, a private equity hedge fund that focused investments in distressed companies. Mr. Baker also served as President and CEO and a corporate director of a $340 million information technology staffing and solutions company. Prior to that, he was a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he served as a member of the Executive Leadership Team for PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting, one of the world’s leading providers of management consulting and technology services. Mr. Baker gained his professional experience as a member of the PricewaterhouseCoopers executive team, where he was responsible for strategy and corporate development for the $6 billion consulting division employing 32,000 people across 53 countries. Mr. Baker has extensive international experience, having lived in London and completing dozens of transactions in over 20 countries around the world. He also provided oversight for a number of portfolio companies and served as board member for companies in the U.S., Asia and Europe. Mr. Baker led the negotiations on behalf of the consulting group in connection with IBM’s acquisition, a transaction that was named “Deal of the Year – 2002” by Institutional Investor magazine.
